I Look Like I'm In Pain...

Miss Marleigh Culver has inspired me to write more with a kind comment on my last detailed blog. So here I am. Under a week (?) from my last entry. w00t!

So I had an actually pleasant conference with my devil (as in this lady is actually a human form of satan) of a teacher. She said that I had good ideas and had something legit to work with. In other words: I DON'T SUCK!!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!!! You have no idea after the heartbreak/mindbreak which was the first progression how happy this made me. The lecture we were required to go to recently: no so much happiness. Apperently the girl was really insightful but I couldn't understand a word coming out of her mouth. She was an author, an Iraqi woman. I think this was her first time to New York City. Anyways the venue we went to was cool though. Apperently it was the place were a presidental candidate named Abraham Lincoln made some speech that eventually won him the presidency. It's called Cooper Union.

I saw Pygmalion on Broadway Thursday night. It's with Claire Danes. The movie My Fair Lady is based upon it. Only I discovered something (to a theatre kid) that is funny:

In My Fair Lady, Audrey ends up happy to be with Higgens, as his servant but equal. But in the play, Eliza discovers her own womanhood and leaves Henry.

In the movie A Streetcar Named Desire, Stella decides to leave Stanley because she believes he has done horrible things. In the play, Stella is torn between her attraction to Stanley/she semi-believes he is right and her loyalty to her sister, but ends up staying with Stanley.

Movie cop outs.

A little drama her in the apartment but nothing that I really care about. I have found that I am increasingly good at spereating myself from things I don't want to be apart of. Which is bad in the sense that: if I don't like this class I will seperate myself from it.

Anyway, the show gets a C+ in my opinion, with the Farnsworth Invention at an A, and Cyrano de Bergerac at a B.

Oh yeah, I totally saw Cyrano de Bergerac last night. Be jealous.

It starred Kevin Kline, Jennifer Garner and Daniel Sunjata. It was really good. The sets of all these shows just blow my mind. I MEAN TALK ABOUT THEATRICALLITY!!! WOOOWZAH. Damn. That's all that can be said. Damn.

Oh by the way, if anyone is interested in buying me one of the dresses in Cyrano, feel free.

Jennifer Garner's performance was about a B. Kline the same and Sunjata at a B+.

I wanted to wait for Kline to come out but my toes about fell off.

And let me explain my picture with Jennifer. I am cold, wet, and tired, and the lady behind me had just shoved her green umbrella into my picture so I was straining terribly to get into the shot at all.

Tommorrow I am going to do rush for Cymbeline, wihch I will explain later.

All in all good night. I ended up playing card, mental, electronic games with P, Lindsay, Fabi, the boyfriend MAnny, and Susan and Sophie for about two hours.

Can't sleep tonight again. Have been up for about 20 hours and I am now getting the wisps of sleep. I really am an Insominiac. Less that nine hours in the past two days and I'm bouncy. I really don't know whether to think of it as a gift or a curse. Preferably a gift that I am trrying hard not to abuse.

wounder if they showed that part in the play??? they don't really in the movie but you can kinda tell what he does to her (rape)... So i think Stanly was drunk bastered..
