So Thursday I slept in until eleven, got up. I don't really remember what I did yesterday. I discovered that the fan above the stove had dust and mold seeping out of it so Jewlie and I put on some gloves and dug out I worked out at the gym for about twenty minutes but I had a killer headache and the girl's machine next to mine was really squeaky and didn't help it any. So I came back, took a shower and Juliana, Jewlie and I all went to the bookstore. I picked up my final books and Then we ate dinner at the dorm close to us. I had Chickfila and a banana. It was yummy. Juliana Jewlie and I all went to Tasty D'Lite and then to Starbucks. We kinda just chilled until Lindsay met up with us and we all went to the Student Center.
So the plan was to go to the open mic night in hopes of finding hot guys but Juliana and I got bored waiting in line for the doors to open so we went upstairs to see how Drag Bingo was going on. We actually got there just in time to get seats. So we decided to stay since it was free and they were giving away tickets and money.
I didnt' actually win a bingo but they were giving away tickets and I got some. It's two tickets to see a show called "My mother is Italian, my father is Jewish, and I'm in therapy." It's off off broadway and it's supposed to be really funny.
So we left about 10:30 and I wasn't feeling well. By the time I got back I definatly had a fever so I took a fever reducer and went to bed.
I got up at eleven today again and had some cereal. I don't feel as bad right now. A Little better. I'm still a bit warm and my ears hurt but I don't feel as yucky.

Day Three - Finale
So basically I went to eat at the student center with some of the gals. And then we discovered that Juliana had some mix up with the day of the sample sale it was actually last week. So we went to St. Mark's Place and a little flea market instead. I got a hat and a pair of sunglasses! Together for under twenty dollars. You can't beat that.
Afterwich I set up my computer. I am now typing on my very own laptop with is tres exciting if you ask me. But you didn't. So it's all cool. I took a nap which turned into a three hour sleep extravaganza. I got up at 6:50 and had to boogie down to the other dorm for the salsa lesson. Apperently the capacity was full which is what I get for getting there ten minutes late. But the girls weren't there anyways so it's cool.
Bumped into Stephen again. Another super cool Adler kid. He was going to get in line for Shakespeare in the Park tickets at like eight AM. But that's too early for me. Even if it is Midsummer. And the fact that I haven't really done much but I'm exhausted. I guess socializing 24/7 is tiring. So I've decided to blow off EVERYTHING I have planned for tomorrow and perhaps just sleep in till eleven and go work out with Juliana.
Met the girls for dinner again. We chatted and talked about boys. Always fun. Then I introduced them to Ricky's and we met some super fun workers. I got a replacement wig for the one I left at Dylan's grandfathers which is probably lost forever. But it fits better than the old one and doesn't give me a headache so I'm very happy. I also got some fake eyelashes that Juliana is going to attempt to try to put on me. I'm trying to get my costume ready for the Greenwich Halloween Parade, which by word of mouth is THE "it" halloween parade to go to if you are in New York.
I do miss my puppies something awful. And my dad. Probably more than mom for some weird reason. But I do right now. But it's all cool. I like being around people. It makes it less lonely.
Finally, we all headed back to the dorm for some relaxation which turned into manic excitment. A friend of Lindsay's from the South Tower came by and we ended up trapsing around all of the dorm in our PJs. Afterwich we watched Mean Girls.
This blog entry is dedicated to the Sexy Ledgers, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Juliana, Susan, Jewlie, Lindsay and myself the most kickass people in New York City.
Amen.

Day Three Pt. 1
So I went to bed far too late last night. Around one. Better than the night before. Went by Starbucks because I don't know any local coffee shops right now. Got a crossiant and a mocha. Anywho this morning I got up at eight again and Juliana, Sophie and I all went to go see The Reality Show. It's a musical theatre production put on by tisch kids. It was really informative and super funny I immensly enjoyed it. Loved the song about gays in NYC.
Then I went to Ricky's. Which I LOVE! It's like a drugstore just for girls. It has aisle and aisle of hair stuff and makeup and costumes and cute little things girls need. This Sally Hansen but better and well just alot alot better. I don't know how to describe it. I got some shampoo and some super cute wellies for when it rains or snows. And a bright purple umbrella. I'm still on the search for sunglasses.

Then I picked up my computer and Sophie and I headed back to the dorm.
In a few minutes I'm going to meet some suitemates at the student center for lunch and then we are going to this open sample sale in NoHo. Maybe come back and tonight we plan on going to the free salsa class at the dorm down the street.
All in all I'm tired but today is fun because it isn't as high stressed. Maybe I'm getting used to the pacing and such.
BTW, Tasty D'Lite is my new favorite place. Ice cream with fifteen calories. Who would've thought.

Day Two - Finale
Had an awesome time going in the heart of Greenwich and catching up with Haleigh. We went to a little greek resturant and had some truly authentic greek salad. Then we went back to her dorm and I met a couple of the second year Adler kids and Haleigh came and checked out my somewhat plain (for now) dorm.
Around eight Dylan and company (family) picked me up for a night of eating uptown. We went to a Thai resturant and had some really nice pad thai and pad see ew (aka pad si eu). Then we meandered into Time Square and had a ball at a Russian Vodka bar. We had cheese blitzes (sp?) and we both tried small sips of straight vodka which tastes like rubbing alcohol.
Then I took my first taxi ride by myself through Times Square and back to the Village. Twelve bucks for forty blocks. It's an expensive city.

Move-In Day, Day One, Day Two (sorta)
Alrighty. So I moved into my dorm on Sunday (it's Tuesday) and was pleasantly surprised to see my actual apartment. I'm in the explorations group, meaning the floor and the floor below us are a community called Fashion Arts Hits NYC. Meaning, the 12 or so of us girls on the top floors of our tower love fashion and clothes and girly stuff. They are all pretty fly I must say.
Move in day was a bitch. Okay, it was not fun. It was humid, I was sweaty and it was unpleasant. However we did manage to find a parking space and get everything up in one trip (thanks to the handy dandy bins on wheels). The dorm is pretty awesome. I'm down in Greenwich Village aka the Village. Or more specifically the East Village. I'm actually in a great location. Five minutes from Union Square. Ten from Washington Square. So yeah, I'm super happy. I'm on the 14th floor, the top floor, the penthouse. Our common room is about the size of a basketball court (maybe not THAT big, but huge). And it's pretty cool. The kitchen is huge and every the bathrooms are at least somewhat roomy (even though they are disgusting and because we are on the top floor we get like no water pressure in the showers but whatever). From the common room you can see the Empire State Building (it's so pretty at night) and from my room you can see the Brooklyn Bridge.

So my girlies on the top floor at pretty awesome as are some of those on the floor below but I just don't know them as well. Special shoutouts to Lindsay, Sophie, Fabiola, Jewlie, Kelly, Juliana, and of course my super chill indie roomate Sarah.
I have to say that Jewlie definatly wins best room decorations because she is head to toe decked out in Hello Kitty and it is Sanrio-licious. Sarah and I have the smallest room and of the five on the top floor (oh yeah there are only 9 of us on one floor, how great is that!?!?!) but it is nice and the furniture isn't like rotting away or anything. But the A/C is falling off of the wall so we have to fix that.

My computer also broke. Well I guess it didn't break, it was always broken or something. Apperently I don't have a chip on my board or something. So I've been computerless for about three days but it's super chill because there are computer labs everywhere.
Alright so the parents left Sunday right after our community (the fashion kids) meeting. I think it was all fine. I'm cool so far and I think they are too. Maybe mom's a little lonely and dad is a little uneasy but that's it.
Oh! So I'm pretty much in love with the Village. My mentor (second year adler kids giving incoming adler kids advice and a small tour) is pretty sweet. Shoutout to Carlyn! And Josh and Jesse for helping. We learned some pretty nifty stuff.
Okay so on move in night I had a blast with Kelly (communications, and our Tawainese princess even though she is from California), Juliana (dance, ballet predominatly), and Sophie (drama, Atlantic). We all went (and snuck Kelly into) the Tisch Loft Party. It was held on the top floor of the beautiful student center. It had the most breathtaking view and an amazing DJ. We dance for at least two hours and I met so many crazy and super nice people. It was really fun.
Yesterday, I got like six hours of sleep and woke up around eight to go to Book Talk. I was presently surprised to know most of the other people hated the book as well. We had a grand ole time poking fun at it. Afterwhich I bumped into some CAP kids (musical theatre), who I kinda tagged along with but where really uppity and not very friendly so I ditched them the moment I spied Sophie heading into the Study Abroad info session (which we left early in favor of lunch). I was super interested the topics China and the London RADA program.
Last night we had another Fashion meeting and Tina said that for our projects this year we can go to Fashion Week, maybe go to Steve Madden or Marc Jacob's design studio, and Teen Vouge has shown interest in doing a piece in the magazine about us if we doing a special project (like a fashion show for charity or something). I also plan on applying to represent our floor in the dorm government thing. I would kinda dig that: shouting about how much money we need.

Then we all paraded down to the president's welcome which was kinda cool. I saw the dance team, the president and some other special people. But the bagpipers were freaking hardcore!
So yeah. It's pretty awesome so far. I do have to say some of the fellow drama boys in our tower are mighty cute. Apperently that's like a requirment for Strasberg (being cute). But all I can say is I'm pumped about Adler and am really tired so I think I'm going to take a nap.
I'll try to keep this blog updated for people interested in apply to NYU, so they can see what it is like and also to keep my friends informed of what I am doing even though I might be super busy and not call them for long periods of time. But I'll definatly try. And if you want to talk or gossip CALL ME!!! I'm in this big city and I need a support team behind me. So be nice and give me a ring sometime in September.

Today I got up around eight, ate breakfast and then Juliana (fellow Tischie) and I hauled butt to our Academic Planning meeting. Basically it was super boring but I got a free tisch pen, wallet and backpack so it was worth it. After I went to American Apperal, which I'm freakin in love with (can you say gold lame hot shorts!) and bought a black pencil skirt and some pink tube socks a la Holly from the Girls Next Door. Then I found my way into Shakespeare and Co. which is a small bookshop on Broadway with a huge section in the basement of just plays and theatre books. I mean more than I could read if I wanted too -sigh-. Went grocery shopping, had a moment of peace when I ate by myself at the Chinese Resturant across the street, and currently am waiting for Jewlie and Lindsay to get back from taping TRL.
