Saturday

I stayed up a bit too late (going to bed around four) just doing laundry and kicking it with Susan. I got up at one, had a waffle and fruit and was out the door for our 2:30 appointment at Sephora.

We got there and it was really high energy. There were makeup artists running around. Tons of people promoting stuff and of course fellow makeup junkies looking to score the magic product.

We signed in and got a VOSS water and they put shots of this special pomegrante vitamins stuff in it. It was very posh. They told us that they had a chair ready so I was up first.

Gilbert was my makeup artist. He is from LA. He is on Sephora's pro-team. They fly them in for special events from all across the country and he was also doing some fashion shows. He said he was at Gottex and I said so was I.

-Side note: after looking through lindsay's newly posted gottex picture I found this one:

See that guy in the gray shirt standing up? yeah that's Gilbert. How craaaazzzzyy freaky is that!?!?-

Anywho so mine took the longest. Gilbert was very good. I asked for a dramatic retro eye. It was really cool. White eyeshadow and black winged eyeliner like I have never been able to do! He totally sold me on three products without saying a word.

Fabi got a smokey shimmery grey eye. Susan got a trendy deep purple and Jewlie rocked a shimmery gold.

So we hunged out. Got free cookies and I was checking the back of the cookie packet to see where they were from when I saw it: made in Stewart's Kitchen, Norfolk VA. Homesickness hit me like a ton of bricks. Just seeing my home in that unexpected place really rocked me. Not so fun.

We spent an hour or so just poking around. We got our pictures taken on this green screen and they gave you an 8X10 of you in front of a Miss Sixty billboard. It was fun. Mine is as Tyra Banks says: super fierce.

We walked back and went into a store called Nessacary Clothing. I got a silky red dress for $35.

As we were walked back towards the apartment my eye (which as been bothering me all day) was really getting irratating. It only felt werid when I blinked. I had notice this for about two weeks and only when I had my contacts in. So I stopped by the Wellness Center (NYU doctor's office). Half an hour later I walk out with a prescription for eye drops to prevent an infection in my newly discovered eye cyst.

I had to find a place to put the prescription in. I kinda bummed around and wrote one of my papers for my class. Ate dinner. We did a ben and jerry's run at around ten. And kinda just hanged out hanging more pictures of magazine ads on the walls.

Tomorrow I'm leaving at 9:30 to go to the MET for my writing the essay class. The MET (unlike MoMA) is just a suggested donation of $10 so its cheaper even if you pay the full donation. I have to find a painting, picture, sculpture I relate to and sit in front of it for about an hour (I prorably will cut it short) and then write a short little page on describing in detail what I saw. At 2:00 I leave for the Reem Acra show. Come back. Eat dinner with Dylan, maybe see the AuH20 fashion show, and go to yoga at seven. At 8 Dylan leaves and I take a shower. Around 10 I will start my plato and write my paper on it. So it's tight but it's not too stressful and I'm cool. But I do need to go and take a shower so I can at least get around six hours of sleep for tomorrow. I'm not too worried because I slept like a rock the night before and I'm planning on going to bed at midnight tomorrow.

Much Love,

K Fergie Ferg
